At Hope House Foundation, we provide essential resources and support to women who need help getting back on their feet after transformative life events. Your donations help make it possible for us to continue providing this invaluable support in our community, and we appreciate your generosity.

Know Before You Donate: What We Can & Can’t Accept

However, we kindly ask that donors be aware that to remain productive and true to our mission, we cannot accept all types of donations. Additionally, we ask that donors ensure they have made a drop-off appointment and spoken with a staff member before leaving any items, so that we can ensure a proper intake process. We have limited storage space for certain items, such as clothing or furniture, so these items are accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Please see the lists below for clarity on what items we can and cannot accept.

Items We Cannot Accept:

  • Anything that is broken or stained
  • Used mattresses, furniture, or electronics
  • Out-of-season clothes or shoes
  • Toys with missing parts
  • Expired or open food
  • Used personal hygiene products
  • Products in open containers

Items We Are Happy to Accept:

House Needs:

  • Twin sheet sets
  • Full size sheet sets
  • Mattress protectors (twin and full sized)
  • Comforter sets (twin and full sized)
  • Standard size pillows
  • Standard size pillow protectors
  • Plastic hangers – adult size

Supply Needs:

  • Gift cards to Walmart, Target, Kohl’s, Amazon, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Aldi, Harris Teeter, Publix,
  • Gas gift cards
  • Trash bags – tall kitchen, lawn and leaf
  • Batteries – all sizes
  • Printer ink – HP952 Color / HP952 XL Black
  • Printer paper
  • Paper towels/toilet paper
  • Clorox wipes/Lysol wipes
  • Scotch tape
  • Masking tape
  • Post-it notes
  • Magic erasers
  • Swifter cleaning pads
  • Ziploc GALLON bags
  • Stationery supplies, including pens, pencils, journals, and more

Pantry Needs:

  • Children’s healthy snacks
  • Tea
  • Jam
  • Fresh fruit – apples, bananas, oranges, etc.
  • Fresh veggies
  • Sugar
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Cheese
  • K-Cup coffee pods for Keurig – any and all flavor
