At Hope House Foundation, we do not run a women’s shelter in the traditional sense; what we offer is transitional housing meant for single unaccompanied women and women with children who are facing homelessness and who need a place to stay temporarily. These women may have been displaced from their homes after a job loss, illness, or major life change, and they need somewhere safe and pleasant to stay while they get back on their feet.
Our housing and programs are meant for women who need “a hand-up, not a hand-out.” We take it upon ourselves to offer them not just a place to rest their heads for the night but also resources to change their situation. These include coaching, job skills training, affordable housing placement, and other services.
We strive to give hope to the women in our community by providing the transitional housing they need in various circumstances.
