In the Charlotte, North Carolina community, there are many ways to help women in need, and one is to donate to Hope House Foundation. We are a small non-profit organization that is here to make a big impact in the community by addressing homelessness.
There are women in the community who may have been displaced from their homes due to the loss of a job, illness, a major life change, or other events outside of their control. We help women in need by offering temporary assistance so they can stay off the street until they can get back on their feet. We offer transitional housing for these single unaccompanied women or women with children, and we provide them with the support and tools needed to turn their situation around. This includes coaching, job skills training, affordable housing placement, and other services as part of our housing support program.
Our housing is not a battered women’s shelter or a substance abuse recovery center but simply a place for women and their children to call home for up to 6 months as they transition to whatever is next for them. It’s a pleasant congregate living environment that offers safety and encourages transformative life changes.
