We help women in need at Hope House Foundation by building hope! The women we serve are not victims of abuse, chronically mentally ill, or those with drug problems – they are those who experienced a difficult situation and need a comfortable place to live until they can figure out what to do next.
We help women in need by providing a place for these women to live. But we do more for these women than provide a roof over their head. Here is a closer look at some of the ways we support these women during their journey back to self-sufficiency:
- Residential Specialist—We provide direct support to the women living in our facility with wrap-around services that focus on the whole family. We track the progress of the women we help and identify ways we can help them move forward. Our staff truly cares about the women they serve and want the best possible outcome for them.
- Job skills training—Learning a new skill can greatly help the women living in our community avoid homelessness. When these women have a skill that allows them to remain employed, they are less likely to end up on the streets in the future.
- Affordable housing access—We provide information about these programs to the women we serve and give ongoing support as they apply to one of these programs and prepare to make the transition out of our facilities.
